The Beauty of Lake Houston
Lake Houston is one the most beautiful reservoirs in the state and encompasses close to 5,000 acres of naturally wooded parkland, where overnight camping is available. Home to Dwight D Eisenhower Park, this quiet refuge is one of the few places in Texas that offers picturesque fall foliage. With 12 miles of hike and bike trails, families can enjoy outdoor picnic gatherings, kayaking on tree-lined creeks and horseback riding on 8 miles of equestrian trails. Lakeside cabins and lodges are available for renting, with accommodations for lakeside tent platforms, screened shelters, and backpack camps throughout the park.
Along the waterfront, King's Harbor offers shopping, restaurants, and entertainment all year, with Champagne Tuesdays at The Tasting Room, Yoga under the Stars at Lifetime Fitness, even live music on Sundays. There's always something magical happening at King's Harbor. Only minutes away from The Groves, Lake Houston provides another way for our families to enjoy outdoor living, family fun, unique dining and shopping experiences, and nature lover enjoyment at its best.
